Philosophy
Many medical specialties focus on specific areas of the body without considering the bigger picture. It can be easy to forget that the body is one entity, and when something goes wrong in one area it affects the balance of the whole.
Taking a holistic approach to pain management and overall wellness means evaluating the full body during assessment and treatment. The intention behind medical massage therapy is to encourage the body to heal itself and return to homeostasis.
